Conn Smythe Winner, Stanley Cup Champion, Moron

This whole Tim Thomas thing is really bugging me.   2 main points in fact.  The first is his non political/really political statement on Facebook.

here it is

“I believe the Federal government has grown out of control, threatening the Rights, Liberties, and Property of the People.
“This is being done at the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial level. This is in direct opposition to the Constitution and the Founding Fathers vision for the Federal government.
“Because I believe this, today I exercised my right as a Free Citizen, and did not visit the White House. This was not about politics or party, as in my opinion both parties are responsible for the situation we are in as a country. This was about a choice I had to make as an INDIVIDUAL.
“This is the only public statement I will be making on this topic. TT”

Now, this is all well and good Timmy, but when you have a chance to make a statement about the government, there's no better place than the heart of that government.  I really think Thimas passed up a great chance to be heard.

The 2nd point of contention with me is the fact that old Timmy decided to abandon his team in a moment of triumph.  This is the White House Man!  This is yet another time to shine!  Take it! make your statement and stand with your team.

Darren Pang said it perfectly last nighton TSN. Regardless of your personal feelings, you suck it up, show up and support your teammates that are beaming with pride excitement and joy for being there. You be a part of that. When you shake Obama's hand, say something quietly directly to him if you feel that strongly about things, but you still show up and support your guys. But having seen how the Bruins play on the ice, taking selfish penaltiesand selfish cheap shots on a game by game basis, this doesn't surprise me that the so called best team guy is more selfish than the rest...

Screw you Boston.

GO Canucks

Till tomorrow

Jeff
